How do you connect with donors and show a not-for-profit organization’s commitment to preserve the beauty of Venice during a global pandemic?
STRATEGY
Inspired by the stories of cultural impacts and community gratitude for the work done by Save Venice, we decided to create a film filled with surprising and delightful moments to draw a narrative parallel between the risk of losing the art of Venice and that of the written letter.
However, the donors and supporters of Save Venice had a direct opportunity to preserve Venice. Since an in-person film premiere was not an option, it was going to be streamed during a virtual showcase, which was designed to encourage people to continue their support especially during the challenging times.
RESULT
We developed a short documentary film that highlighted how supporters’ contributions directly affected the local communities in Venice. We partnered with a local director to capture the city, mission, work, and outcomes thanks to supporters of Save Venice.
The “Love Letter” provided a welcome escape, if only virtually, to our beloved city.
